In the event of a bank details change for your pension periodic payment , please inform us of your new bank account as soon as possible, by filling in the provided form for this purpose and attaching a copy of your identity card or passport.

For a payment to an abroad bank account, please send us bank account identification showing your account in IBAN format, the SWIFT/BIC code and your bank address.

In the event of a marital status change (marriage, divorce, registered partnership (pursuant to Partnership Act)), please send us the provided form for this purpose, together with a copy of the up-to-date official certificate as soon as possible.

If you wish to notify us of a beneficiary partner, please return the provided form for this purpose.

For your information, cohabitation is taken into consideration by Patrimonia, provided the pension recipient and his partner have cohabited without interruption for at least five years immediately before the pension recipient death, or the surviving partner have to maintain one or more of their joint children.

Moreover, pursuant to Swiss legislation and the Patrimonia general terms and conditions that are currently in force, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that only benefits calculated according to the regulations in force at the time of their entitlements are valid. The statutory and regulatory benefits in the death event are payable and determined based on a death certificate and the legitimate heirs. We would therefore be grateful if you could inform us as soon as possible of any changes to your marital status and partner designation, or new designation of the beneficiary or beneficiaries in the death event.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Why do I have to send proof of life?” style=”round_outline”]

In order to avoid paying pensions that are not justified, Patrimonia conducts a confirmation of life check. Every pension recipient will be required to provide yearly a certificate of life.

Without news from pension recipient, Patrimonia will automatically freeze the pension payment.

All pension recipients and their heirs are obliged to immediately inform Patrimonia of any changes to their situation that are likely to result in a change to the pension or its cessation, as well as any changes of address or bank details.

For a recipient of a disability pension, at the age of retirement (64 years of age for women and 65 years of age for men), the temporary disability pension is converted into a pension annuity. This retirement benefit is calculated by multiplying the savings capital accumulated on the retirement date by the conversion rate applied in accordance with the general terms and conditions of Patrimonia. It is not possible to request even part of the pension as a cash lump sum.

Pursuant to the Patrimonia general terms and conditions, a child’s pension (child of a disabled person, orphan or child of a pensioner) is payable up to 20 years of age.

If the child is in further education or in an apprenticeship or if he is at least 70% disabled, the benefit may be paid up to 25 years of age.

From 20 years of age to 25 years of age, proof of continuation of studies or an apprenticeship must be sent to Patrimonia for continued payment of the benefit.

In the event of the death of a pension recipient, a partner’s pension or an orphan’s pension or orphans’ pensions may be payable.

For a disability pension : the benefits in the death event are defined according to the employer benefit plan with whom he was insured as an employee.

For a recipient of an old-age pension: the benefits in the death event defined according to the employer benefit plan with whom the pensioner is insured. A partner’s pension of a recipient of an old-age pension equates to 60% of the old-age pension. An orphan’s pension equates to 20% of the old-age pension of the deceased.

Pursuant to the new law on divorce of 1 January 2017, the pension may be divided even after the occurrence of a benefit claim (in the event of retirement or disability). Hence, in the event of payment of an old-age pension or disability pension, the retirement savings to be transferred will be calculated according to a hypothetical leaving benefit. As a consequence, the old age or disability pension may be reduced.

The contributions (contributions and supplementary contributions) are invoiced according to the affiliated company agreement (periodicities available: monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually), payable in advance. A salary increase in the year takes effect immediately, with retroactive effect.

The application is possible until three years at the latest before the start of the entitlement to the pension benefits

Up to 50 years of age, the total leaving benefit. After this age, the maximum amount is equivalent to the leaving benefit accrued at 50 years of age or to half of the leaving benefit accrued on the payment date, whichever is higher.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can I obtain an advance payment of my leaving benefit to finance the work on the home that I own?” style=”round_outline”]

Although the LOB and its ordinances do not provide for the possibility of financing work by means of an advance payment of the leaving benefit, the Patrimonia Foundation allows the insured person to obtain such an advance payment in certain cases in order to carry out essential work which will add value to the property.

All routine maintenance work (painting, tiling, etc.) or outdoor facilities (fencing, swimming pool, garage, etc.) are excluded. It is advisable to contact us to find out whether the planned work is admissible.

It is advisable to contact us by completing the appropriate form, stating the amount requested as well as the desired payment date. Please note, it is advisable to act at least 1 to 2 months beforehand. In the event of failure to adhere to these deadlines, the successful outcome of these procedures and the advance payment cannot be guaranteed

The payment you have received may be reimbursed by one or more payments, the minimum amount of the reimbursement is CHF 10,000.00 per payment.

You simply have to make the requested payment to the Foundation’s account by indicating your surname and first name and stating EHO repayment in the comments box on the payment page

Up to three years at the latest before the age of retirement. In the event of partial disability, only part of the advance payment may be reimbursed.
