The legal framework for investing the assets of Swiss pensions funds only covers the aspects of risk and reward nowadays. Patrimonia is nevertheless convinced that its returns, derived from the real economy, can only be generated in the long term by supporting a sustainable cost effective, socially equitable and environmentally responsbile prosteprity.
Patrimonia specifically aims to align its investments to all the commitments made by the Swiss Confederation and the cantons, which include achieving the greenhouse gas reduction targets of the Paris Agreement and carbon neutrality by 2050. It is nevertheless aware that the implementation of these commitments is complex and that the multiple and evolving approaches are not unanimously accepted.
